Only the information from the headstones that I have recorded. I am
still searching for this information.
Description
Much of the headstones are broken and some have been moved around
in the cemetery. Some are very hard to read. In very much need of
restoration.
Other Problems
Approx. 1/2 mile from the cemetery the City of Greenville is
proposing to put in a Waste Sewer Treatment Plant. Should this sewer
plant be built the drainage in that area is poor and could cause the
water to backup into the cemetery and cover up the graves. We recently
had 7 inches of rain in one day and it caused the creeks to over run
onto the church property and it could be a threat to the cemetery. We
have a grave of a man that was in WW1, and another one who was a WW11 Veteran.
We also have three women that was in the Woodmen Circle.

Fletcher Warren Civic Center at 5501 Highway 69 South, Greenville, TX
Update -
September 20, 2003
As reported in
the first report the City of Greenville was
proposing to put a Waste Sewer Treatment Plant
in the area that the cemetery is in. So far the
Treatment Plant hasn't been built. Cedar Grove
Cemetery has problems with: Broken Headstones
Buried Headstones Disintegrating Headstones
Fallen Headstones Lost Graves from Funeral
Markers being moved. Recently a bone was found
that had rised to the top of the ground.
