Other Information
There is no official name for this cemetery because only a few know
of its existence. It has no stones as the last remained pieces were
discarded by the property owner many years ago. No records of its
occupants exist though research is now being done on the past land
owners to search their wills for clues. A map of the township from 1865
indicates the cemetery is there. One grave is obvious as it has caved
in. Others are distinguishable but barely due to trees growing on the
grave sites. One person still living recalls the cemetery but no names
from the stones. It is assumed that these graves were all from the
1800s. The land owner has been slowly turning the area into a private
camping site for private parties. Part of the cemetery may have been
bulldozed but it is hard to tell where the original boundaries were due
to a lack of records. This cemetery may be the home of a Revolutionary
War veteran. He lived on the property next to this property at the time
of his death in 1843.
