Revolutionary War Veteran Mark Deems is buried in this cemetery. The Daughters of the American Revolution erected at monument on the site in 1937. The property which contains the cemetery was recently subdivided and the cemetery is in jeopardy of being destroyed. The descendents of Mr. Deems are opposing the sale of the cemetery.
