Cemetery description
large but only a few headstones remain. it is situated behind a
FRATERNITY! Weeds cover it. there are no signs for contact
information.
Other Problems
I think the biggest downfall to this cemetery is that it is right
behind some fraternities here in Reno.
Previous Contacts
Just trying to locate plot records and find out who owns property.
The caretaker of a cemetery adjacent (in good condition) said
that the University of Nevada Reno had purchased the property. There
was a story of someone buying it to move the bodies and build on it. I
guess that fell through. It is situated in such a spot that few would
see its neglect except for mostly college students.
Current Status
I am checking in to plot plans and have already transcribed the few
headstones there are without permission because the gates were wide
open and NOBODY cares! I took some pictures. Not all the headstones
but I will be back. I have a few queries in to the libraries.
