Other Information

Ongoing restoration of 33-acre Mount Prospect Cemetery, founded in 1881. Final resting place of pioneers and inventors of eastern Monmouth County NJ, and 526 veterans of the Great Wars. Approximately 15,000 burials, database of burial info in progress. Organized work parties on first Saturday of month, weather permitting, plus other times. Roughly 2/3 of cemetery cleaned, opened, and daylighted.
