Other Information
One set of graves (Hollingsworth) has an iron fence around it. The
graves of William Starks, Nancy Ann Davis Starks, Samuel Starks,
Elizabeth Starks (brother and sister to William) are unmarked. I have
never seen the records, but understand the fire department in Gulf Park
Estates had the records. I just know the last time I went the condition
was deplorable and you could not get in there. Some of my relatives and
I were going to the VA to get a marker for William Starks' grave. He
also served as Justice of Orphans Court. He died as the result of wounds
from a duel fought over the boundary of Jackson and Harrison County.
Davis Bayou and Starks Bayou get their names from these people.
