Location
Description
The cemetery lies about one quarter mile off a county road. The
timber around the cemetery has been cut. The area is basically 50 by
100' in size. The area is overgrown with trees, underbrush and vines.
There are 6 tombstones and many graves marked with rocks. Some of the
tombs have been broken and damaged. The road that leads to the
cemetery is impassable by car and the county keeps a deep ditch cut on
the road at its entrance to the cemetery when makes it hard to walk
over to get on the entrance road.
Other Problems
With out this cemetery being restored it will fall further and
further into a state of decay.
Previous Contacts
I have written a letter to the Governors office and contacted the
Benton County Supervisors office about this .
Current Status
I have not gotten a response from the governors office and was told
at the courthouse unless I can provide a copy of a law that they will
do nothing concerning this cemetery.
