Other_Information:

This cemetery contains the remains of at least two Grandchildren, three Great-Grandchildren, and five GreatGreat-Grandchildren of none other than Daniel Boone.  Two of the men were M.D.'s with one being the first in Callaway County.  He was also a member of the Missouri House of Representatives and a member of the Missouri Senate.  Several of these men moved with Daniel Boone to Missouri and Callaway County before Missouri statehood and were members of Nathan Boone's Rangers during the War of 1812.  Two of the burials documented here were infants or children totally unknown to family descendants.

Support:

I was advised by DNR Historic Preservation that, "Under Missouri Law, if this was the burial site of Daniel Boone, it would be treated as if it were the burial site of a Governor of the State; however if it is children or other descendants of Daniel Boone it will be treated as if it is your or my burial site."
