Directions: The best way to get to it is to come out of
Russell, Kentucky and get on "new" Route 23 and head
North (towards Portsmouth, Ohio]. You will pass by signs for
"Flatwoods", "Raceland" and
"Worthington" KY. The next town should be WURTLAND. Take
that exit to your right and head north towards the Ohio River. It
will lead you onto what the locals call "old Rt. 23".
Turn to your left and head towards the center of Wurtland and you
will be paralleling a railroad track on your right. You will
eventually come to a steep grade road crossing over the railroad
tracks on your right. It may or may not have a sign there for
"Riverside Drive". Cross over the railroad tracks, and
bear to your right. On your left you will pass the
"COCHRAN" cemetery and bear straight ahead at the
intersection. Continue on until you come to POWELL lane on your
right. The cemetery is about 50 yards past Powell Lane on your
left. If it is overgrown it will be difficult to see at first, my
landmark in 2001 was to look for a solitary tree in the field
about 25 yards in at that point.
