Other Information
Local Folk Lore states that many of the Chinese
Graves were desecrated in an attempt to retrieve valuables that may have
been buried with the Chinese. Juveniles also held drinking parties at
this location and had destroyed many of the stones and old wooden picket
fences. When the new highway was put in much of the cemetery was dug up.
It is not known if the gravesites were moved to the new Hope Cemetery.
If you do not know the location of the cemetery it is very difficult to
find.
