Update
The Seward Family Cemetery is no longer in danger of being built on.
I have personally contacted many state and county officials to
verify the status of this cemetery. The man who owns the land that
cemetery is on has stated that he is personally setting aside money
to help preserve and ensure the safety of this cemetery. He has also
had the cemetery recorded on the plat maps located at City Hall.
This cemetery is no longer in danger and can now be updated and
taken off of the endangered cemetery list. I have attached the email
from my county official for reference. I have even contacted a
distant relative of Mr. Seward's to notify any other family members
if possible. This Veteran can now rest for many more
centuries.
