Cemetery: Scull Cemetery - The Scull Cemetery has been documented as being the oldest cemetery in Arkansas. It bares the name of the Scull family, one of the early settlers at the Arkansas Post, which was an early French settlement in the 1600's. Many of these early graves are lost. Some of the more famous people from Arkansas' history buried there are Henry W. Conway who was killed in a duel in 1827 and Louis LaClede, founder of St. Louis was buried there in 1778.
