Contacted:      City and County Officials - dilemma is proving ownership. Believed to be County, but no documentation so far. Officials have been kind, but have not been able to determine ownership, hence, responsibility. But all evidence says Saline County owns this property.

Other_Information:

Several iron gated family plots with ornate stones, but are not accessible because of overgrowth and damged gates; there are several W.O.W. headstones; many African Americans buried here did not have sufficient markers with dates - only names;  some homemade markers; used as a paupers' cemetery in the latter 1900s,  so many recent graves are marked only by flowers and metal funeral markers
