Other Problems

In 1902 my Great Grandmother Annie Eliza Bond Bray was buried on Hendricks Hill in an unofficial cemetery in Sebastian County, Fort Smith, AR. I tried to find this cemetery on a recent visit and was told that the Steed home is now built on top of this cemetery. It is my understanding that the developers of this property moved the bodies that were marked with stones but left the ones that were not marked. Annie's grave was marked on the corners with 4 oak trees and wire around the grave. I would like to know where my great grandmother is buried and if she now has a house on top of her final resting place. This bothers me that developers would be allowed to build on top of known graves. I would like to know if she was moved and be able to put a stone on her grave and visit it. Can any one help me? one has any info about this cemetery or the removal of these bodies please E-mail me.
