Only known to those who know it is there as Shannon Road Cemetery

Other_Information:

This Cemetary is nothing more than a wooded area alongside the road. County road work has possibly
covered some graves with grading materials, leaving some graves covered by the roads shoulder. This area
is also littered and graves are sunk in and probably from the colapse of coffins and caskets. There is
evidence of what was once a standing mausoleum, but has long since fallen and decayed and is covered by
underbrush within the middle of the drainage way. There is also one crypt that has a grave alongside that
has collapsed approx 4' exposing the soil and the side of said crypt. This is also a resting place for WWI
and WWII war veterans. Also possibly *Confederate soldiers, (*only through speculation from one grave
marker that remains that suggests such).
