Other_Information:
Grave yard is in three sections on the whole of Pennock Island.
The center is the oldest part. The graveyard
is a Native cemetary, with residents of the Indian village of
Saxman being buried there for several generation.
I believe a thorough documentation of the graves is necessary
and it needs to be placed on the list of
Alaskan Native cemetary. It also needs to be saved from the
government of Ketchikan, determined to place
a bridge across Pennock Island to another island. To date,
Saxman has not commented on this most
probable desecration of their ancestors graves.
